About the event
🌿Ashtanga Amazon Retreat🪷
An Ecological Journey Into the Heart of the Rainforest
October 17–24, 2027 at Tariri Amazon Lodge
Some journeys ask you to sit still. This one asks you to do both — to practice, and to be practiced upon, by the oldest teacher there is.
For eight days, we'll live inside a forest reserve on the banks of the Amazon, in independent suspended bungalows built for privacy and quiet comfort. Mornings begin with Ashtanga — self-paced, breath by breath, in the Mysore tradition — followed by days spent moving through the rainforest itself: by canoe, on foot, by boat, in silence and in company.
This is not a retreat that keeps the jungle at a distance. It's one that asks you to enter it.
In Portuguese we have a word called vivência — a profound, deeply felt lived experience. It goes beyond a standard event or a general "experience" by highlighting an inner, emotional, and personal realization that shapes a person's life and consciousness. This will be exactly that: a journey in the heart of the largest rainforest on Earth. Come with an open mind and an open heart. This is not a place of luxury or modern comfort; simplicity is part of the journey, and what you'll find instead is something far rarer.

Where You'll Stay 🌿
Tariri Amazon Lodge sits inside a protected forest reserve, operating under full environmental license. Its suspended bungalows are designed for comfort without disrupting the forest around them — an ecological structure in the truest sense.
Located on Lake Acajatuba, on the Rio Negro, 70 km from Manaus. Here you'll find a wide variety of ecosystems and lush Amazon rainforest landscapes — igapós (flooded forests), terra firme (dry forest), and beaches. You'll be able to enjoy a true ecotourism adventure in the jungle.
