Ashtanga Online Beginners Course with Bianca Oliveira - Authorised Level II Ashtanga Yoga Teacher
Learn step by step the traditional Ashtanga Yoga Method. This is a progressive course in which each class you will practice and learn from scratch of the Surya Namaskara A and B, standing and sitting positions, and the finishing sequence. Slowly during the course I will introduce the beginning of the Primary Series poses, teaching the correct alignment for your own body and the benefits of each posture. We will also practice the traditional Chants in Sanskrit. Each day I will share philosophical aspects of the practice as Ashtanga Yoga is much more than body positions.
This course is for you if:
*You are a completely beginner
*You feel a little lost learning the sequence and not confident in joining a Mysore style self practice class
*Had a long break from a traditional Ashtanga regular practice.
*You want to refine your skills, techniques and understanding of the asanas, alignment, vinyasas and the basic philosophy of Yoga.
Lot's of individual attention will be provided. Ashtanga is a set sequence of postures linked together with vinyasa, or flow of movement, in order to build heat in the body. The aim is for every breath taken to be a conscious one, creating a moving meditation. The set sequence is a consistent flow of dynamic movement designed to stretch and strengthen your body and to allow breath and energy to flow through your body easily. There is no age limit on practicing Ashtanga. If you begin a regular practice you will see great progress and change in your body. No matter what age or fitness level you are at, you can achieve greater control over your body and mind.
