Learn with depth but not in an overwhelming way the basics of Ashtanga Yoga.


Learn step by step the Ashtanga Yoga Method: postures, breathing and moviment techniques, inner and out focus.

The key components of Surya Namaskara A and B, standing positions, and the finishing sequence.

Slowly during the course I will introduce the beginning of the Primary Series poses. We will also practice the traditional Chants in Sanskrit.


What to expect:

If you feel a little lost learning the sequence, had a long break from Ashtanga or if you want to refine your skills and understanding of the asanas and vinyasas this class is for you. Lot’s of individual attention will be provided.


About the practice:

Ashtanga is a set sequence of postures linked together with vinyasa, or flow of movement, in order to build heat in the body. The aim is for every breath taken to be a conscious one, creating a moving meditation. The set sequence is a consistent flow of dynamic movement designed to stretch and strengthen your body and to allow breath and energy to flow through your body easily.There is no age limit on practicing Ashtanga, or any form of yoga for that matter. If you begin a regular practice you will see great progress and change in your body.​No matter what age or fitness level you are at, you can achieve greater control over your body and mind.


About the teacher:

Bianca is an Authorized Level II teacher, blessed by the Paramaguru R. Sharath Jois. She practices all first, second and third series of the Ashtanga Yoga method.

She continues the learning process in Asana and Pranayama from her western teachers, recently holding a certification to teach Pranayama and deepening her studies in Vedanta.

She is also a mother and truly understand how family duties and practice affects one another. How discipline, commitment, devotion and dedication are the base of the practice and also the non attachments for results. Believing she is an eternal student of yoga, her joy is to share all the benefits this practice can bring to people’s lives, both on and off the mat.
